RFF launches "Cape - Verdean Tax Legislation” in Lisbon and Cape-Verde

A RFF & Associados, their local partners in Cape-Verde and an editorial group Vida Económica launch a new “Cape-Verdean Tax Legislation” in Lisbon and in Praia city.

A Presentation of the book will take place in Lisbon on the 15th of January, (Tuesday), at 18h30, in the Salão Nobre of Commercial Association of Lisbon, Chamber of Portuguese Commerce and Industry, head office of Portuguese Tax Association, (Portas de Santo Antāo Street, 89).

A Presentation in Praia, Cape-Verde, will take place on the 17th of January (Thursday), at Livraria (bookstore) Pedro Cardoso - Fazenda.

In Lisbon, the Presentation of the book and of the Tax Reforma will be done Dra. Sheila Pinto Monteiro, accompanied by the comments of Dr. Eurico Correia Monteiro, ex Justice Minister of Cape Verde, lawyer and actual Ambassador of Cape Verde in Portugal and Dra. Lígia Fonseca, first President of the Cape-Verdean Bar Association and a lawyer from RFF’s partner’s law firm in Cape-Verde.

The session of presentation in Cape-Verde will be on charge of Dr. Samuel Cosmo, Judge of Tax and Duty Court of Sotavento, who will utter a Conference abour Tax Reforma of Cape-Verde and counts on reflexions about “What value will VAT add to the tax system of Cape-Verde” brought by Dra. Márcia Tavares Teixeira, Legal Adviser of Cape-Verdean President and also on discussion of “Tax Benefits: efficiency and control” by Dra. Dilma do Canto Silva, Lawyer and Lecturer in Instituto Superior de Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais (Superior Institute of Legal and Social Science). 

The the sessions count with a presence of the Authors, lawyers from both States and Dr. Rogério Fernandes Ferreira, founding partner of RFF & Associados, lawyer, teaching lecturer and former Secretary of State for Tax Affairs in XIV Constitutional Government of Portugal.

This masterpiece, of RFF Collection, arises after the publication of the Angolan Tax Legislation in 2015, facing the crescent need of access to the tax Codes and legal diplomas in force by the Portuguese-speaking countries.
